Air conditioning

2010 Itasca Sunova 32Ē class A

I was once told that in my RV the engine automotive air conditioner works with my two rooftop acs. I find this odd as I do not run my vehicle when camping thus air conditioner is not running and the same when Iím driving the roof tops arenít operating. Just curious. Also my rig is at the repair shop as it is blowing automotive ac compressors any ideas why?

Roof tops have nothing to do with dash airs.

They can work in conjunction to provide more cooling, and many owners will run just the roof top units while driving. Of course the engine needs to be running for the dash unit and the genset needs to be running for the roof top units.

Roof tops need the GEN operating in order to work.
