Air Dumping On Its Own

Just purchased a 2017 DS 4369. When parked the air dumps itself. What am I missing?

It has a manual dump button on the jacks pad; but have not touched that. I have auto leveled 2 or 3 times without an issue.

You are right... sorry. Within minutes... less then an hour. It’s not a leak...

does it start the HISSSING noise as soon as you put in N and park brake set?

my panel used to be programed to dump automatically once i turned on the levelers. i changed that setting

i also have a manual valve lever to dump them

but if it just slowly drops down once you shut off, its the different issue.
little more info

Air Dumping On Its Own

I think... and this coach is brand new to me but I have had 5 or 6 class a’s over the last 25 years, but it seems that after a certain time it just drops on its own. No hissing to speak of. I am thinking I am missing a setting somewhere. Seems dangerous in that if the steer wheels are turned it would smash the fiberglass or if the steps are deployed on a steep hill it would destroy the steps

understand now,

bags are deflating slowly.
i have never parked with front wheels cut hard, so i cant comment on that.
my steps, even at full drop never touch the ground, i still have 5 or 6 inches.

i know i read somewhere to up front wheels in a straight position prior to leveling...but i have slept since then.

are you just parking it and not leveling

My first bet , a leak. You may could hear it around the coach somewhere. In a coach that new i wouldn't expect a brake canister.

Yes parked in driveway, not touching anything to do with leveling.

if i park mine and walk away..it takes quite sometime before it drops.

i have never timed it,

but i imagine shutting her down and letting her sit, 12 hours and the suspension may be down.
even when we store the bus, its deflated and it rests on wooden blocks at the jack pads.

DebNDan,
Unless air systems have had MAJOR operational changes, NO, your system SHOULD NOT BLEED OR AIR DOWN, by themselves, after you've parked your coach, WITHOUT input from YOU!! When you stop your coach, and put it in neutral, and set the brake, your air system should remain intact, PERIOD!
Leveling, tied with air systems and or hydraulics, is a whole different animal. There are things that are tied together and they work together. But, just parking it, and setting the brakes, NO, your air system does not have any auto bleed down just because your parked.

And yes, if you happened to park with the front wheels turned, and your coach is built in such a manner that, the front wheels COULD damage the body of the coach if the airbags depleted, then Houston, we have a problem!!!

So, without knowing any other aspect of your new and new to you coach, I'd say you DO HAVE A LEAK. Now, normally, I'd advise you get yourself a nice spray bottle with a nice soapy solution and go to work under your coach and spray every fitting/line/valve and anything that even looks like it's air related.

But, in the light of the fact that, your leak is so quick, if you were laying under it, and it's on its way DOWN, HOUSTON, WE'D HAVE A MUCH LARGER PROBLEM!!

So, at this time, my only possible advise might be to air it up, 'till the purge valve releases (meaning governor has stopped the compressor from pumping) and, shut the coach down and get out and, in a nice quiet place, kneel down and see if you can hear anything. You may have to do it more than once, if your coach looses that much air, that quickly.

I am afraid you are correct... I was hoping maybe there was setting I do not know about.
