Air fryer to replace microwave?

My microwave/convection oven has quit working. Microwave/convection ovens have gotten scarce. Therefore the price has gone up. Enter the air fryer. These are new and plentiful. I can buy one from Sam’s club for $150.00. Has anyone used one instead of the standard microwave/convection. I understand it might not be a good idea to use the air fryer in a enclosed space. I would only use the microwave/convection portion not the air fryer.
If you have installed one in your RV, please let me know your results. If you have NOT installed one please refrain from giving advice on something you have no more knowledge about than me. I am not being catty, I just want advice from someone who has actually had experience with these ovens.
To all the great folks on this forum, thanks for your great help and advice. Irv2 is still one of the best sites on the internet.

Ok you can get mad at me because I have not installed one …. But an air fryer is a smaller convection oven with a catchy name. So there would be 0 difference.

There is no way I am going to get mad at you. I appreciate the article. Thanks. Just after posting this question, I was looking at a tour of a new airstream travel trailer. The new airstream trailers come with a air fryer instead of a convection oven. I guess you can have a air fryer instead of a convection oven.
I would still like to hear from anyone who has installed one.

People have reported this this one typically fits in the same space as typical factory installed convection microwaves.

Ok, get mad at me also, but … a “air fryer” is just a catchy name for a turbo convection oven, it just makes more noise and had a stronger fan. They don’t even really operate at a higher temperature, as deep frying is usually done at 350 degrees. I had not known they are starting to make “air fryers” integrated with microwaves, but, all you have there is a convection/microwave oven with a stronger fan. No reason it should not work, and no reason not to use the convection part (see comment above about temperatures).

I have a convection oven that I use with a pan/wire rack insert that does exactly the same thing as my “air fryer”. So again, nothing significantly different in technology with the air fryer.

Great! That is what I was looking for, someone who actually has one. Is it enclosed or sitting on the counter? I had some concern about heat in a closed cabinet.
