Air leveling pump stuck on and power bump issue?

OK, the MH is winterized and parked next to the house same as last winter.
It got to just above freezing today so I decided to do my monthly check on the MH.

First the keyless entry was dead - not a good sign and the first time it has happened - I unlocked the door using a key and tried a light - nothing. I went to the EMS panel and inverter and charger lights were not on. Turned them on and saw 12.8 volts and charging. (Just hoping the batteries did not freeze (been through that on my last MH) but can't get into the battery compartment as it is frozen shut).

Then the air leveling (small compressor in the front) came on. Now this is not unusual and I've heard it several times this winter and last. Now this time after I reset the inverter/charger it would not shut off and would blow off, running continuously.

As its been real cold here, I'm assuming that there is water/ice in the line or compressor and the air is not getting to the air bags, so it keeps calling for air. (I did drain the tank in the fall). Turning off the power on the leveling pad didn't do anything either.

Pulled out the generator and and got at the compressor. I opened the drain and nothing, not even air so I assume there is ice in the tank. Pulling the pressure relief valve did expel air. I looked in farther and saw three wires going to what I assume is a sensor. I pulled one wire off and the compressor stopped so I left it. The wire on the right in the photo.

As tomorrow is supposed to get up to just around freezing again i'm planning to carefully apply some heat to the compressor air tank, hopefully allowing it to drain.

Now as to the root cause, does anyone else have problems with their EMS panel not turning the inverter and charger back on after a power bump? We get a lot of power bumps here and sometimes I forget to check the MH.

On my coach the small electric compressor isn't for the air suspension it has a small tank that is for the air cylinder that slides the false floor in the stair way in front of passenger seat. Theres a check valve that can leak and cause pump to run when not in use wearing pump and batteries, installed a switch to turn it off when parked extended time. Engine compressor takes care of it when in use.

thanks, same idea as mine though it is definitely for the air suspension when parked, If I can't solve the problem soon I'll wire in a switch to inside.

Check the inverter, it may have gone into "fault" mode. Mine does that sometimes if the power is interrupted.

I'll have a look at in if I can tomorrow, weather dependent. This seems to happen all the time on power bumps and in our rural area we get them almost weekly.

thanks

Chris

Put a heat gun on it and opened the drain valve, after about 5 minutes it started draining. Reconnected the wire and it ran and shut off automatically.
will have to keep an eye on it for the rest of the winter, it' just starting to get cold(er).

tks

Chris
