Allison push button no light

Engine not turn over. Button shift pad window is blank. It did start from the rear starter switch. Now shift pad had N in window.
Headed home a half hour later engine died and window black. We are stranded on an interstate shoulder.
Four hours later engine started. I drove back to campground where I can get the motor home to an approved Cummins/Allison shop.
Why am I loosing power to shift button pad?
Like to get it corrected, if possible, and avoid the repair.

Welcome to iRV2 .

Just off hand this sounds like a loose ( or corroded ) connection , either at the chassis battery or the fuse (s) that powers the shift pad . Under dash wiring connector to the shift pad needs to be checked too. Shift pad on my coach has 1' of wire before it attaches to the dash harness.

Do you have any wiring info for your coach chassis ?

To add to above many had 10 GA wire pos.on chassis battery with inline fuse about 12-18" corroded or loose fuse connectors ,bad loop or wire at battery.
2. Connector at lower column. Usually with key on column .
3.Key switch ..jiggle or lift it.
4.An issue at rear start affecting the front.
5. Ignition solenoid in front run bay.
