Aluminum rims on the front?

Anyone knows if aluminum rims make any difference?

Can you recommend the best brand on the market?

It makes a difference for looks and a small difference for weight. Alcoa is the most common brand. You will need longer studs if you are planning to swap from steel rims.

If it's just for looks I have no reason to change anything.

It looks great already.

Do you have any suggestions of a brand for good steel rims.

Your profile says you have a Fleetwood Flair. Is that correct? What year and chassis? That will determine what wheels you'd need.

What is the reason for considering the swap? Do you have a damaged wheel? Desired change in looks?

You could certainly find a replacement in a salvage yard. Stating your goals may help get you better advice.

If it is just looks, I actually like the looks of a stainless steel wheel cover more than the aluminum wheel. I always have had trouble keeping the shine up on the aluminum.

If I had the opportunity to upgrade to aluminum I would do it. Aluminum rims will run truer and smoother in the long run than a steel rim would. That's why you see many trucks with aluminum on the fronts for smoother steering even with steel still on the rears.

If you want to try AL wheels I think these might just fit but you'll need to verify the size - https://www.amazon.com/1976-1992-ALU...Z7JP5JP2P9WYY1

I think, but again you need to verify, you need a 19.5 X 6" wheel with a 10 - 7.25" bolt pattern and a 5.25 center bore. Check the wheel offset also. Ford F53 wheels won't fit on a Workhorse. Bolt pattern is bigger by over an inch. Same for the center bore.

Also, as mentioned, you might need to replace the studs with something longer. Somewhat of an easy job on the daily driver but I'm not so sure it would be a driveway project to attempt on an RV. Probably need a press just to get the old studs out and the new in addition to the level of effort just to get the wheel hubs off the axles. If you do plan to attempt might as well replace the wheel bearings, brake rotors and brake pads while everything is apart.
