Anatomy of an RV Water Leak

This story could easily have had a different ending, but it appears to have worked out in my favor – found a water leak in my RV . . . fixed it.

Anatomy of an RV Water Leak.

Great post. You did seem to have discovered some important principles.
1. Water runs down so start at the top.
2. Look for easy solutions first.

Good job! Just one question. Was the Calico cat the final inspector of your work? Better yet, maybe next time you could train the cat to go up in those holes to fix the leak!

Nice sleuthing
Did you place some.sort of sealant underneath the outside plate to prevent water intrusion from it?

Good job! I had a tough one in a fairly new travel trailer a few years aog. I had to remove the shower walls and it turned out to be a rusty staple someone at the factory had accidently shot into a pex line. It held until just after the warranty expired then rusted enough to start dripping.
