Another Bike Rack Question

I really want to get a tandem bike for my wife and I, but I can't figure out how we would transport it. I could be wrong, but it seems a tandem would be too long for a standard rack on the back of our motorhome or the toad. Has anyone figured this out?

I have seen several double bikes racked on motor homes over the years. I recommend Yakama.com as they have a good selection of racks. Look for a rack that tilts down. Will reduce the effort to get the heavy double into traveling position. There other good racks, but that bike will be heavy, and some racks I see in camping supply stores are expensive and not that stable.
