Another Electrical issue

We have a 2002 Fleetwood Fiesta. When tried to leave the RV park it wouldnít start. The ignition was totally dead. We had a couple of guys check it out and both said it needed a new starter, but that wasnít the case. We had to get Good Sam to tow us to St George, Ut and it took a day and a half to get it done. The next morning the man started working it and it turned out to be the electrical modular that is in the steering column tied to the key. The modual for our unit is obsolete so he found one for a grimlin that he had to remodel and it now starts but the dash fan only works when key off, the levelers donít have power, headlight only have low beam, the automatic stairs donít cycle properly. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. AZAL

What chassis do you have? Look under hatch and tell us what engine do you have ?
You can get better opinions if you tell us..
Good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you

Check fuses. He may have blown one while messing around in there.

Workhorse did have a recall with the Ignition starter switch. The coach builder would put too many accessories on the switch and cause it to fail. The fix was a relay to move the electrical load off of the switch.
The ignition Starter Switch is a standard part that can be obtained from pretty much any part store.
The switch is located on the backside of the steering column towards the bottom.
Hope this helps.

You could try Napa echlin KS6622.. I am not saying it will fit.. but one you could try.. takes about 15 to 30mins one bolt.. after you take cover off.. maybe 30.00
There is a pre wired kit.. on ebay.. that cures this problem.. you have the option to add ignition switch.. like 300.. it comes with all instructions.. but takes maybe 1hr.. or 2 if you are new at wiring.. just basic hand tools.. if you are super at wiring.. you can make your own..
I think eBay search.. p30 ignition switch.. or chevy p30.. it will come up.. and show model it fit..
You search there and you might just find ignition switch by itself.. take pictures of yours then match up online..
USE cell phone with camera and flash and record steering column cover.. the cell phone with camera and flash are your best friend and fits where your head cannot..
Then use that to find.. did shop give you back broken piece ?
Also.. use OREMYS.. are they list exchange over parts..
Good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you
Oh.. I hope shop did not do a hatchet job on your OEM switch..

This is the results of the problem with the electrical problems. The ign. switch burned out and took several relays and spiked the cpu, and the relay that shuts the tv power off while driving was also burned. A big thanks to all that replied to my post, the tech. that was working on the problem used this info to help find all of the problems.
Good Sam went through hell getting a wrecker to tow our rig to a shop, it took a day and a half, but I don't blame Good Sam for that, they worked real hard to get it done.
Thanks again azal
