Another inverter question

Hello to All!

Bear with me on these questions. First I just install all 8 new batteries (4-12 volt and 4-6 volt) for the RV and need some clarification on the picture as I have no books on the inverter etc. These questions are only based on the picture.

1: From what you see on the incoming AC breaker amps. Does that have to be set to 50 amps when I got to the campground as the campground has a 50 amp breaker?

2: When does the inverter light turn green or Does it manually need to be turned on somehow?

3: If I now start the Gen. will the 12.5 come up in charge?

Thanks for all replies!

#1 yes, set to shore power breaker rating.
#2 charge light is on so your inverter is charging your batts, looks like they are at full charge to me. 12.5 to 12.8 volts.
#3 yes, need to turn on the inverter if you disconnect the shore power and want 110v. On some coaches when the gen set is started it will charge the coach batts. others you have to have the inverter powered and running to charge the batts. On my 01 DSDP 3852 the gen set charges coach batts directly when running from my 7k powertech gen set.

Last, I suggest that if you run your gen set to disconnect the shore power. Many electronic devices both on your coach and on shore power property that can be damaged by power surges. Example: solar charger, radio memories, tv controls, mirowave controls, AC controls.

Xantrex has their manuals online. If you search for your model number you'll probably find a lot in the manual that you'd never realize it did from just looking at the control panel.

Big Thanks!
Understood with room to spare

I started the Gen today and turned on the back A/C unit. The panel shows the INVERT lite to flash every four seconds. I then applied more load with the Fridge and still blinking. Does anyone know if that is correct or not?
Still no manual online yet but looking.

Thanks again for any replies.

Yes, the blinking light indicates that the inverter is on standby. On our RV if I run the generator and turn it off, the inverter will not start automatically. I have to turn it in manually.

Answer NOT in solid letter caps:

12.5 VDC says there is something WRONG with the charging of your batteries. Even in FLOAT MODE you should be around 13.2 VDC.

If you have a battery temperature remote sensor, disconnect and see if that changes voltage-- again should be at or above 13.2 VDC.
