I wonder if roadside assistance covered this claim in full?

Mine did when I almost backed over a cliff. But then mine still had 3 wheels on firm ground and a sapling keeping it from heading downhill. A little winching and mine was back on pavement unharmed. That is a lesson learned the hard way.

I agree that to have backed that far into the water over the bulkhead would have taken some speed. So although not in the picture, maybe there was a ramp build on the other side and he/she was trying for a Evil Knivel jump>

all jokes aside that is not going to be an easy recovery. crane needed for sure, someone is getting wet to hook up the ass and what lift/attach points would the use?

All the more reason I'd love to know how true this is, when it happened, where it happened and how it was resolved ..... if it ever was !!!

I do feel bad for the driver. Bet it's an interesting story.

I would have spent an entire day watching how they got it out of the lake.

Talking

That looks like a RV wash at a cheap RV resort.

Hopefully all the windows near the rear are closed.....

Could be parking brake wasn't applied and it rolled right by the owner while he was farting around with the power cord....had to be a real buzzkill

But my gut is calling BS and it's Photoshop, there's about 6 people sitting at the picnic table eating lunch or something like nothing happened at the coach to the right of it...

It wouldn't matter if a window was open or not. The coach is full of water up to the water line. If the undercarriage was sealed the coach would be floating in the canal, not sunken.

I'd like to know the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey used to say. I'm betting they had to float the rear with airbags and maybe wait for high tide before getting a crane to lift it out. At 8.3 pounds per gallon of water there is at least a ton of water in that thing.

I don't know about that. As soon as those back wheels dropped and the frame hit the deck, I could see all the weight in the back tilting the thing back and having it slide in.

Apparently here is a "dry run" of the same maneuver.

OK, took some Googling, but here is a video of it being removed from the canal.

No, it's probably the drivers fault. I'd bet money he hit the wrong pedal. Of course there's a chance something else went wrong such as the throttle sticking. I don't think the rig was idling when it went into the drink.

THEORY: The cat did it.

I am going to go out on a pier and suggest the cat did it. I can see the rig parked and idling, the family cat jumps around on the console, steps on the parking brake releasing that and then stepping on the transmission control panel putting the rig in reverse.

Dogs would never be so irresponsible. Or vindictive.
