another tire pressure question

Forgive me if this question was answered in a previous thread; however, I am using the IRV2 app on a smart phone and the search function NEVER returns results.

I am trying to determine air pressure by weight. I don't remember .... should I use actual weights? Or should I add 10% to the actual weight and use that pressure from the tables? I even think I saw somewhere egret one should add 25% to the weighed figure and inflate to that pressure?

Can anyone clarify?

Thanks.

You should use the heavy end of each axle to establish a baseline pressure for each axle. Many people add some extra psi to that figure to allow for some weight addition and temperature variations. The psi listed in the table is the lowest pressure that will carry the weight. The addition of 5-10 psi is certainly ok within the limits of the max tire and wheel pressure.

The only time I read the 25% over inflation was for storage. One of the tire manufacturers recommended this guideline. I don't have any experience over inflating for storage. Glad the OP got fixed up!
