How wide, and how much curve?
Lots out there. Try your local 4X4 off road shop.

Wondering why would someone want to place a light bar at the top of the windshield?

Same reason 4x4's put lights up on a light bar. Visibility. Only off road of course.

I put on in the front bumper on our E450 chassis. Makes a big difference on back roads when you out in BFE

Agreed, I would put it down low around fog light level, as to not blind the heck out of someone if accidentally not off in time. I also would look into 2 smaller light bars 6-12" vs a 48"+
And the reason for a light bar would be back roads are dark.

With the lights above the driver's head, there's no shadows on the road ahead. And you can see the holes in the road much better. Truckers in Northern countries that drive in the dark a lot use overhead lights. BTW, they dim them long before they meet you.

Check out the lights on this bad boy. In Norway. Lots of driving in the dark during Winter.

Lights up high are not illegal unless used while driving on paved roads in my state. My MH came from the factory with a big bright spotlight on top the front cap, and a remote in the drivers chair pocket, obstensivly for parking after dark ; so I understand your intent.

The OP has his reasons but I doubt one of them is for parking. The lightbar would shine straight out front and not do a thing for lighting up the area he actually needed to see. Turning them on in a regular campground would probably just annoy the nearby campers.
My guess is that the OP wants them for the same reason I wanted them on my Jeep, to look kinda cool. I've turned the KCs on a few times but in all actuality, never really needed them for any of our night time off road excursions.
