Anyone replace Excide gc-135 extra with AGM??

Well my two house batteries have had it. Looking for a maintenance free replacement so I don’t need to put water in them from time to time. Any recommendations?

If you choose AGM, be aware that you will need to program your inverter/charger to the AGM setting. An AGM battery needs a different charge-state than that of a flooded battery.

You don't have to go full AGM. You could choose a deep-cycle battery that is "maintenance free".

You can swap in AGM batteries even if you can't program your charging routine.

The charging routine avalable in many Inverter/chargers, and solar controllers, will optimize charging of AGM batteries, but if adjustments are not avalable with converter/chargers or the main engine alternators, your AGM batteries will still give you long, maintenance free, life.

Most flooded, lead acid, maintance free batteries are not full deep cycle, but a hybrid of starting and deep cycle. They are not optimized for either service.

I don't recall ever seeing a flooded acid, maintance free, 6 volt, deep cycle battery. They usually have cell caps or are AGM.
