Anyone using an electric lay/lift booster antenna mount like this?

This company makes both manual and electric lay/lift mounts for antennas. I was thinking of purchasing the motorized one for the roof of the motorhome to mount the WeBoost 4G X OTR Cell booster I just bought. The mounts and hardware are made of 304 stainless steel. Anyone using this or similar?

Your thoughts, experiences, and comments are most welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I will be making one similar out of a new, unused 8 inch linear actuator I bought originally for the step cover (it is too big for that purpose).

Thinking WeBoost cellular antenna (same as the one you have) and the WiFiRanger Elite antenna will find a home on it. Am considering adding some type of break away if I misjudge something low. Certainly it needs to be strong enough not to break during normal wind forces while driving. I might grind away at the actuator to antenna mast bolt connection to weaken it.

I saw another post where the guy used this lift on his RV; made for boats, and about $500 a pop. I am longing for the crank up TV antenna on which I could mount a wifi antenna using a couple of hose clamps. Antenna down when moving, of course. But our MH has a fixed OTA antenna so I'm looking at making my own lift using a linear actuator and a couple of limit switches. Nice SS unit, but at $500, I'll pass.

Some ham radio folks use them. Nice unit but spendy. Nor sure you will experience substantial cellular performance difference from a good roof mounted antenna installation.

Contact Glen who has a YouTube channel called “Great Escape”. He installed one and shows how he did it. Pretty sure he is still very pleased with it. He is very responsive to contacts.

Nice... Thanks... But as full-timers everything we own is on board... our CG space is our "home"... No more workshop...

Yep - spendy alright but no workshop as a full-timer... So choices are limited. Thanks for the reply.

for $500 a local you could have a fab shop make the welded parts, and buy the rest of the parts online and be money ahead.

"Yagi antenna, which needs to be pointed in the direction of the nearest cell phone tower."
You will need to point the Boost antenna, unless you get an omni-directional which I do see they offer, but would assume the Yagi type would do a better job. Even so I would update my over the air antenna with the newer crackup use the head and power supply-amp to update the old and install the new and adapt for the We Boost. Even if you were to chuck the xtra pats you would be many $$$$ ahead. Yes you would need to crank it up but fultime how often do you move?

Why not just buy a crank-up Winegard for $85 and use that to mount your antenna(s)?

Hi Len... The kit came with an omnidirectional antenna. By accounts from others, it works well. I would consider a Yagi, but have no way to rotate it to the best signal orientation.
