Aqua hot Diesel operation

Traveled to a State park in South Mississippi. Using on board GPS for directions. It directed us down a road that took us over RR tracks that we went high center on. Damage to coach minimal but did flatten exhaust on Aqua hot. Cut exhaust pipe to allow Aqua hot to exhaust out tailpipe. When Aqua hot is turned onto diesel the fan runs but controller on wall starts to blink. When checking exhaust fan is energizing and now exhausting. The wall controller blinking is new to me. I am getting no trouble lights on the Aqua hot itself. 2016 Tiffin Allegro Bus 45OP. All electric.
Any input would be appreciated.

The switch panel light is displaying a fault code. There will be a pause for 3 seconds and than it will flash a number of times every 30 seconds and than pause for 3 seconds before repeating the fault code. You need to count the 30 second flashes to indicate the fault number. You can go to AquaHot and lookup the service manual for your unit and toward the back of the manual will be the switch panel fault codes. The other options is to call Aqua-Hot Heating Systems Technical Support Department at 1-800-685-4298.

Is it actually heating on diesel or not?

No it does not operate on diesel.

Maybe turning os the 12 volts for a minute or two and then back on will reset that inside controller. Its worth a try, nothing to loose at this point

There is a ton of information out there on these type of devices. There should be a label on your unit that shows the model number. Google the troubleshooting instructions for that model. Those instructions should lead you to the problem and then you can decide whether you want to fix it or have it repaired.

If the combustion chamber exhaust fan is coming on, but the burner is not firing, then either you don't have fuel, don't have fuel in the proper amount, or don't have ignition of the fuel. The troubleshooting guide will help you figure that out.

Although they seem complicated, hydronic heaters like these are really a series of pretty simple systems hooked together. If you know how to turn a wrench, read a multimeter, and don't mind standing on your head to get to the device, then you can figure this out and fix it yourself.

Did you try to start it with the exhaust flattened before you knew it was smashed. It may threw a major code that needs reset as mentioned. AH has a troubleshooting flow chart.
