Just checking, does the pump still run after you turn off the coach 12v main switch? If so, I would just remove the main fuse for the AH until you can get it figure out the root cause.

Correction to my post above. I just checked the AH manual, there is an auxiliary 12 volt direct connect to the battery. If it's connected in this manner, it will allow for a 3 minute purge cycle, even if the coach 12 volt switch is turned off. The AH will be permanently connected regardless of the coach 12 volt switch.

If it keeps running, I would remove the main AH fuse or disconnect the ground wire on the bottom of the control board or disconnect the pump as stated above.

My AH is older so not sure of newer control boards. I have removable ice cube relays. Pretty rare but one could fail closed mechanically or gotten welded closed. Not much amperage to weld one closed but could happen in testing or repairs by causing a short.
For mine I could easily swap relays around or put meter on removed relay or take a pic to enlarge to examine internals ect. That's what's nice about old clear ones.

Get a wiring diagram to see where pump is getting power from. On my 100 series the wiring is strange. My fan doesn't run while the pump is on, I think it is shot so I need a new one.

After finally getting a reply back form AH, the determination is that something is likely wrong with the display/board on the unit itself. With diesel burner and electric off, nothing in the boiler should run. Thermostat can call for heat, but with boiler in off mode, nothing should kick in, until boiler is turned "on" manually. I'm going to try to find this online but I'll put the question out there anyway. Does anyone know what the warranty period is on a aquahot?

Well that's odd because I just read a post from Roger Berke on his forum stating that a basement thermostat calling for heat, can turn on the zone pump, and heat exchanger fan, even with a cold boiler.

You would think AH would know best though!

Here's the AH Warranty from their FAQs page. --> https://aquahot.com/FAQs.aspx

AQUA-HOT (2) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Aqua-Hot Heating Systems Inc. warrants the AQUA-HOT heater to the original owner to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal conditions of designed usage and service as outlined in the installation and operator manuals for a period of two (2) years covering both parts and labor beginning on the date of purchase of the vehicle by the original owner. Replacement parts are covered for the remainder of the heating systems warranty. All purchased replacement parts will carry a six months (180) days warranty.

I think this to be possible, as well. Do you have a meter to test the storage bay thermostat?

Ok. Thanks for that info. I'm not sure the guy who phoned back was necessarily right. He sounded unsure. I'm going to investigate that further. I have aux switch off by the door, so at least pump 2isn't running right now.. Seems like a bad setup in this part of the world. How do you shut off the breaker on these. Appears to be round , push to reset, style breakers.

That's all 12v stuff that's running so probably a fuse somewhere rather than a breaker.
Your 120v breaker panel will have a breaker, but that will just cover the electric element.

You could also check with Heat My RV - John Carrillo, he knows everything about Aqua-Hot, as well. Here's a link to his contact page on the Web --> https://www.heatmyrv.com/contact-us/

If you can't search out the basement thermostat ,all the thin thermostat wires come in to small term terminal strip. If that's easier to get to.

I have sent him a message. Thx for the contact info. Not a big deal now that it's turned off. I just want to perform a fix for up here in our cooler climate. An inline switch in the stat wire should do it.
