Aqua Hot Leak

2018 Foretravel, it’s has been parked about one week indoors. Yesterday I noticed this leak from under the aqua hotspot. I pulled the cover and the pan under the diesel burner is damp. Looked underneath the coach under the aqua hot and I could see that is where it is leaking from. Any ideas or suggestions of where to start to find the leak?

My guess is the pex fitting lower left on the system. May need slight tighting of compression fitting...dont over tighten

Also if you see a small, in my case red pen line going down into the burner area it goes into a plastic fitting into the tank. Those can crack and create slow leaks. Have to pull the burner out to see but if its plastic and not leaking replace it with a metal fittings anyway as the plastic is a really bad application in this case

Is that transfer fluid? Water? Or diesel?

If transfer fluid, there’s multiple places it could be leaking. Worst case (not to be dramatic) is the tank is cracked. That’s what happened to mine, but it’s a 2007. I can’t imagine yours being cracked from rusty insides being as new as it is. Careful tightening fittings as stated, the heat cycled plastic does get brittle and the copper fittings on the back can twist and crack/break.

I’d leave the cover off and get it up to operating temp and see if you can find the leak. Mine only leaked when hot. From there you can figure out how to fix. They aren’t fun to remove.

One day out of the blue ours started leaking, a slow but constant drip of water. When we got home I found it to be a plastic pex to copper thread adaptor on the left side down at the bottom of the unit at the tempering valve domestic hot water outlet.
It was in an area that was pretty tight so I had to have my buddy tighten it for me. At 6-3 I just don’t fit in tight spaces very well.
