Aqua Hot Service

I am in the Escapees Co-Op in Benson AZ and need the annual service completed on my Aqua Hot 450 D. I went on Aqua Hots web site and there is only one mobil tech listed and he is located inTucson which is 45 miles away. He wants $150 for the drive to Benson plus $250/300 for the service. I normally pay about $200 total. Does anyone know of a Aqua Hot tech near Benson? TIA

Can you drive over the guy's shop for the service? Should only take a few hours to complete. If not, perhaps wait until you are ready to leave your current location and find someone else at the next stop.

If your AH is working fine leave it alone. No reason to pull a annual just because it’s been a year.
Wait until your in an area that has a service available.
It’s really not rocket science to do it your self and there are a lot of videos to show you how.

Good luck

I've been doing the "annual service" on my 450D for 13 years. I never had access to a video showing what to do but it's actually very easy. I change the filter and nozzle every other year and have never had a problem. I had the 120 VAC feed to the electric element short against the cover that tripped the breaker. After finding the issue I reconnected the feed wire to the element wire and have hot water. But the diesel burner will run but won't fire so I think the short might have taken out the relay that's in that small box. No Aquahot techs in the Vegas area either so I'll have to wait until I get to Quartzsite. Good luck finding a solution to your issue. Aquahot techs appear to be on the same pay scale as attorneys but their expertise is valuable under most circumstances.
