I have removed and reinstalled a rebuilt Aqua Hot. It was like a new unit.

I know of one that got a rebuild due to freeze damage..as has been said he told me it was like new. Unless you have severe freeze damage or some other catastrophic issue I can't see needing a full rebuild.

You might want to check with John Carrillo, I believe he has rebuilt units available for some models. John's probably making the winter routes thru AZ now, but will return phone calls and or emails. Nice and competent man.
