Are there universal roof AC shrouds?....

Hi All:

I have a 2000 Coachmen Catalina 334MBS and want to replace the roof AC shrouds, do i need to find the specific model of AC?(has 2 different models up there)or are there any "universal" shrouds that will fit the 2 different applications?...any advice, chime in!....

Thanks in advance!.....

He's right there many models regular, semi low profile, low profile and some even ones with up draft fans. Look on your build sheet or owners binders. Probably good idea to at least get a visual look or a pic before shopping. There is aftermarket ones but prices not much cheaper. Icon boast a heavier cover than OEM. My new OEM Duo Therm penguin cover shape /style changed over the years but still fit fine looked a bit sleeker.

Like the previous two posters say, I doubt you will find a cover that will fit all rooftop ac models. I think all of their dimensions, other than the hole in the roof they go thru, are slightly different.

I found a guy who does RV repair on OfferUp... He had a bunch of shrouds stored on his property, and was selling them for $25 each. My rear Coleman Mach ( which I think might be original!) cover was all brittle and falling apart. I was able to get a newer Coleman shroud that matched the front. Made me a happy camper!

This pic is from his OfferUp ad. I had the middle one ( in white) on the back, and the left one on the front. Turns out they are the same dimensions and mounting holes pattern, so could use the newer style on the older unit.

Hope this helps!Click image for larger version

Google Icon AC shrouds - they are much heavier than stock shrouds so they'll last a lot long. Advertised as indestructible.
