My area of Michigan is still $1.799.

Houghton Lake is where that cheap gas is, Houghton is just north of us is still higher.

Wow! If you subtract the Michigan State and Federal taxes of $0.4894 per gallon (per api.org's Motor Fuel Taxes as of 1/1/16), that is less than $0.30 per gallon to the seller, wholesaler, refiner, and producer.

I filled our tank a few weeks ago for $1.899. Looks like a long, no MH usage summer for us due to DW being on the liver transplant list. Can't travel away from the home area or not have cell phone coverage, plus the myriad of appts to go to.
So I guess it'll be nice for those that can get away.

That low price was due to a gas war where a new station opened up.

The rest of us are paying $1.78/gal.
