Thank you all for your help. I will be buying a new motorhome soon. I will be buying my motorhome in California due to the registration issues. I believe these california Motorhome dealers know about these problems. I see why they will not match the discount that the motorhome specialists in texas offers. If I had the extra money I would still go to texas to buy my motorhome but I do not so I need the california dealership to do my registration for me. That sucks but oh well, I will be on the road with my family enjoying life. Thanks again.

This morning at about 8:00 AM I recieved a phone call from Cowboy who works at the Motorhome Specialist dealer in Texas. I emailed the company a few days ago with several questions. They got back with me knowing that I will not be buying until about 10 months. My main question was about the California fees and the registration. Cowboy told me that they (The Motorhome Specialists ) send everything to the CA DMV and I would not have to pay a dime until it is time to register the RV the next year. I asked about the Texas sale taxes and he said that since I live in California all I would have to pay is something called a VIP tax that is 100 dollars per every 50,000 dollars. Cowboy said that he has sold many RV's to Cali residents. I think I will make that trip to texas for that discount. Now my wife can get the RV she really wanted.

To each his own... I'll take year round perfect weather & lifestyle over a few bucks any time. Don't own a raincoat & don't know what "winterizing" means.
There are lots of nice states to live in, the nicer ones cost more money.

We are happy to pay, along with many job creators.
