You need inlet breakers rated at 30 and 20 amps if your using 10 and 12 gauge wires.
50 amp wiring requires 6 or 8 gauge wiring up to the main 50 amp double breaker in the panel.

I understand. We have the 50 amp shore cable going to small breaker box. One leg of the 50 amp service goes through a 30 amp breaker feeding the original 30 amp panel. The other leg of the 50 amp service goes to a 20 amp breaker feeding the new rear ac. We are not using the full 50 amps on either leg. And, we can only run the front ac on generator power as it’s only a 4000 watt Microlite.

What was outside temperatures when you were running single unit at 68 degrees sustained? Engineering wise you must have extremely energy motorhome parked in shade with curtains drawn along with high efficiency 15k Cooling unit.
I have been hard pressed to see any MH even with two ACs overcome more than 20 - 25 degrees outside. i.e. if you have 90 degrees outside, I can see that being possible (68*), but when I reference 2 AC a must for me it is to deal with 100 plus degrees, not to mention trying quickly cool down a hot coach because the AC is NOT always running. It could take 4 - 5 hours to cool down a very hot coach with 1 AC. 26k Cooling power is just better than 15k. I have never heard of anyone wanting to take a 2nd unit out, or complaining about having 2 ACs, only those wishing they had 2. But I do agree all don't need 2 ACs; it just depends on where they live. I passed on a few very nice 1 AC coaches, but if I was living up North I could probably manage.

Frozen up
get a quote to upgrade from 30 to 50amp and adding A/C. Then buy they 30 you want, negotiating the price down to cover the upgrade. You can do this!

2nd AC

Is there any standard length the builders use for switching from 30amp to 50amp? Anyone maybe have a list of unit's in that length that do in fact have 2 AC's/50amp?

You can add a 2nd unit. You can always pull out the fantastic fan in bedroom and drop the 2nd one in and wire it for Shore power. You then would need two receptacles. Using the original 30 amp and the you would have a separate, but additional 20 or 30 amp. Most of the utility posts have at least in 30 and one 20. I see some don’t think you need an addition AC unit, but I had a 32 ‘ class C and in Texas. One is never enough. Maybe up north, but not in the south.

I have a Winnebago 35p. Full wall slide and two other slides. Have a basement air; doesn’t keep up in hot temps. Took fantastic fan out of kitchen ceiling and put in an 15k AC in its place. Works great! Can’t use both with 5500 generator though. Only need to use basement AC while underway.

I have a 30 foot Tiffin Allegro 50 amp and it only had one AC. We installed another AC in the back. Some places too hot for only one AC.

I AC!
Our first coach was a 33 ft /30’amp. We camped in GA in the summer. It was our first trip. Couldn’t get the temp below 88 inside. We were so bummed. We knew that would not work for us. We immediately traded it for a DP , 2 AC units and air bags. We have never been happier. You can actually talk normally to one another when driving and we can freeze ourselves out if we want. Putting one AC unit in a 33 ft is just cruel.

My 33ft 5th wheel has one 15k unit instead of the stock 13.5 unit. Ours works fine in Florida and NC summer heat.
