Attaching a propane heater to on-board tank.

I got a propane buddy heater for Christmas that I'd like to hook up to my on-board propane tank. I have a connection on my tank but it is not the same as the heater hose. Is there an adapter? I'm not sure what size the connection on my RV is but the heater has a 3/8 connection.

I use an "Extend-A-Stay" propane adapter and snake the line in through some place handy. Works great, but be sure your propane sensor is on and working as well as the O2 sensor. This kit comes with a hose to use things that require a 1 pound bottle as well as a hose to "T" into your system and feed propane when your main tank is empty from a 20 pound tank. You will be nice and warm and also not using power to run the furnace or heat pump. Only drawback is the extra moisture, but just keep a couple windows cracked open a small amount to let in fresh air.
Here it is on Amazon---- https://www.amazon.com/Camco-59123-P...ay+propane+kit

I'm actually not planning on using the heater inside. We want to heat a party tent for fall camping. With that kit can I hook into what I already have or do I have to have to plumb it in?
