Atwood Level Legs

WE own a 06 Ventana by Newmar It has a Atwood levelegs leveling system, It has been acting up lately. The system goes down levels the unit OK, but when I retract the system it give warning lights and I have to shut down the system and restart it 1 or 2 times. I have found that running the engine a higher RPM forcing the alternator to charge helps. Anyone else had these problems. Also I was thinking of not using the legs if we were level most RV parks use concrete pads and are level. Of course all the weight is on the tires but it's on the tires anyway.

Have you tried this:
Extend all.
Manual by front/rear/left/right.
Then Ret All

We have a 08 Bay Star with Atwood Levellegs. They were at the point were you never knew if they would work. They only would work in auto mode no manual mode. I replace the touch pad and controller with a RF controller from Gama Electronics. I lost the auto level function but they work great with hand controller.

I will look into this Gama Elec. is it something that is listed as a replacement part. I'm not sure what I'd be looking for.. We had a 2001 Dutch Star with the HTH system I thought this Atwood a better system with less parts and individual legs and I still think so, if I can get this controller to work. I don't need AUTO I know what's level. It's when the wife says that's good right there.

I used a Gama Electronics—

RF-340-4PR-ASC with a long range remote antenna and 4 toggle switches (sorry don’t have part # handy)

Bought all of them from Gama website. There is a very good youtube video about the RF-340-4PR-ASC on the website. Very easy install.

The fact that increasing rpm's makes the system work better implies that you may have a weak connection somewhere, probably a ground. It might be worth looking at whatever connections you can get access.
