Atwood levellegs parking brake sensor question

Hello all. I have the Atwood level legs setup. My question is. There is a light required that senses the parking brake being set for the system to work. I believe I have a loose wire as at times the controller will not show the parking brake light and it prevents me from lowering/retracting the legs.

I am wondering if anyone knows where or how the parking brake sensor works/ is tied i to. If anyone has ever had this issue and how they’ve fixed it or if anyone has a diagram on the wiring system?

Thank you in advance

I have the Levellegs on mine, I think there's a wiring diagram in the book I have. I'll try to remember to look in the morning.

Mine's an ex rental too!

The F 53 manual I have for my 2007 year chassis shows that function is controlled by a switch. Most likely at or near the pivot point of the E brake pedal. I couldn't find a clear picture. It could be broken or just used up.
Another place to check is the connection to the control pad of the Levellegs. There should be a plug to the back of it.

Does the emergency brake light illuminate on your instrument panel? If it does, the e brake switch and that part of the circuit is working.

Unfortunately the park brake connection does not go to the control pad, it goes to the relay pack. Mine is in the front most driver's side storage bay.

Pin P1 on the 8 pin connector is the park brake input. See pictures.Click image for larger version

I had Level Legs on our motor home. The connector referenced above will develop enough corrosion to cause this problem. Some times I could pull the connector once or several times to make good contact. This connector has very small pins the about the size of wire wrap pins which are very easy to break. I had to replace the main power board 4 times at $525 each. The board is no longer available. We now have HWH levelers. Best move we have done should have done it at the first failure.

Thank you for the info. I believe my issue is inside the cab because I can wiggle the wires under the dash and get it to work. I just can’t see anything I might have to pull the seat out to get under there?? Again I really appreciate the tips and documents.
