Need to locate WHERE the leak is..........

Could be loose cold/hot line fittings on the backside of tank
Could be crack in tank
Could be leaking drain plug
ETC

Depending on WHERE it is leaking determines course of action to repair
Loose fittings can be tightened/resealed
Drain plugs replaced
Tank cracks ----can be welded (aluminum tank)

2004 vintage should be a GC10A-4E model
Gas/electric 10 gal

Replacement tanks.......no longer available
*Components are

Dometic dropped all support for Atwood and have their OWN models which are different sizes then the Atwoods so they are not Direct Replacements (can be done using a 'conversion kit')

Suburban has a 'Direct Fit' replacement for Atwood model

IF tank is cracked.......it can be welded
Sometimes w/o having to dismantle (remove from RV and leave complete)
Sometimes separating tank from drawn pan (remove from RV, remove all components, separate drawn pan from tank by clipping seal rings off at combustion & exhaust tubes) then have crack welded up.
New seal ring/gasket kit required for assembly

Locate/ID where leak is then options can be posted.

It is generally a DIY job to replace a water heater. I believe the Atwood is an aluminum tank and can be patched by welding the area, depending on where the tank developed the leak.

Since this is a 2004 model heater, I would just replace it. It may have weak areas other than the one currently leaking.

Just went through this in my 2002 Adventurer. Turns out it was a $2 fitting at the back of the tank on the supply line. Check my post history for some more info and pictures. I'd check that first.
