AVIC-N1 Pioneer

Newmar 2005 mtn air 4304.
I know that the nav/map disks are no longer available with current info.
I do not need map info on my Pioneer AVIC-N1.
I do need the rear comera to function when in drive, it works when in reverse.
I have contacted Pioneer and they have some new parts for the AVIC-N1 but not new or refurbished AVIC-N1 (display) or AVIC-N2 (hide-away units).
Pioneer gave me info on who will do maintenance/repair on these units.
My display unit's SRC (source) button does not work, so I did a reset in hopes that was the problem (big mistake my bad).
My AVIC-N units were functioning well before the SRC button failure.
The unit now wants the nav/map disks reloaded, the unit will not read my disks ("read error") therefore the rear camera will not function in drive.
The unit will not always (sometimes but not always) eject the disks I have, so I used a pair of tweezers along with depressing the eject button.
This has scratched the disks as you can imagine (again my bad).
I plan on sending my units in for maintenance/repair.

Do not have the AVIC N1 we have the AVIC N3

couple of things do you have a camera toggle switch on any of your drivers dash or console have you pressed that

Can you get to your setup menu to see if camera is set to On?

I hit reset once and lost all camera function and had to go back into setup to correct

We are looking into upgrading our Panasonic to a totally new system

Here is a link to the users manual camera settings start on page 89

https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/p...%20AVIC-N1.pdf

Hope this helps before you yard that thing out

No do not have the toggle sw.
My unit will not read nav/map disks.
The SRC button will not work.
Need to repair or replace detachable face plate, along with having maintenance on the disk read eject function.
I read somewhere that a sw can be added, that will put power to the camera when in drive
just like when in reverse.

Do you know if the AVIC-N? are all compatible? The AVIC-N1 to AVIC-N3 for example, or do I need to find a AVIC-N1?

I can not speak for.certain but you would.think one could swap in any of.those and still utilize the existing wiring of.the b1

One thing these units are known for.is the cable ribbon that feeds the screen when it extends out or in breaks there is a person one ebay I believe that can repair them for a flat fee

Trying to find a working AVIC-N1 display and AVIC-N2 Hide-away modules to send in with my modules. I think I would have a better chance for a repaired/working system.

Check out Ebay....they have several parts only radios and a set of map discs.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...parts&_sacat=0

I had an AVIC D1 in my 2005 Diplomat. It was one of the nicest radios I ever bought. It was state of the art in it's time with advanced features. My favorite, it had a remote that was peanut shaped and fit into the curve of the steering wheel. It was great for operating the radio and repeating directions, especially when a radio is so far away in a motor home.

Does anybody know how to take out an AVIC Pioneer DVD MULTIMEDIA AV NAVIGATION SERVER that is in a 2005 Man Air 4304 dash. I need to send the display and hide-away units into a repair/maintenance shop. I am desperate to find a WORKING AVIC display unit plus complete electrical connections so the units can be bench tested.

I profoundly apologize, but what does "din" stand for?

No need for an apology

DIN is a standard used in vehicle stereos
Single DIN is 2x7 Double DIN is 4 x 7 in inches

Here's a video on removal pretty straight forwardhttps://youtu.be/eeGOIBTVBLs

There are others if you search

I have only gotten 2 responses from my request for help, and none from my want add.
I'm wondering if I don't understand how to use this forum.
I'm thinking there has got to be more people who have replaced their Pioneer AVIC units.

Mtnpush,

Just found this on EBAY:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/25518861210...4AAOSwvXJhcJQ2

Looks like its all there even the navigation brain, but you should just be able to pull yours from the dash and plug everything into the back of this one,
