Awning choices ?

Hello all. This is my first post to this group. I recently had the misfortune of having my awning turn in to a parachute while driving in rather sever winds.......a total loss. I had an 18' A&E manually operated unit. I'm toying with the idea of upgrading to an electric one but have heard some reports that I may be disappointed due to lighter construction and they can be somewhat troublesome. The extra 3 or $400 doesn't bother me if its worthwhile but don't need problems.......the manual was fairly easy to use. Regardless of electric or none, should I stick with A&E ?
Thanks, Willie

A&E is kind of the cheaper product IMO. Carefree is more expensive and better. Again, my opinion. And I've worked on plenty awnings.
