Awning Retracting for No Reason

I have a 17ft Automatic A&E awning. It is on our 2009 Damon Challenger. Suddenly it retracts for no reason. It does have a wind controller below, but it retracts with absolutely no wind. I adjusted the wind speed to 24 mph and still it retracts a few minutes after it is fully out. Now I noticed it retracts as soon as it reaches its full out position. Currently what I am doing is retracting it all the way and quickly pull out the power wire connector. When I'm ready to retract I reconnect the power connecter and press the switch to retract.
Any help with this will surely be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Have you tried to turn off the wind sensor? They are notorious for being unreliable. I keep mine in the off position. My controller is located in the front passenger-side basement.

I don't see a power switch. Only a button that I press that selects the wind speed. I disconnected the wind switch connector and it still retracted. The only thing that stops it from retracting is the disconnecting the power connector. I'm wondering if there is something that makes it retract if it hits an obstruction when it is opening. Maybe it has something to do with the remote even though I don't use it....don't even know where it is at this time. Anyway, thanks for the help.

You can turn off the wind sensor with the remote. Mine has instructions on the back of the remote. Also, try stopping it before it is fully extened. It may be extending to hard and fast and sensing it is hitting an obstruction and therefore retracting.

Mine has a small switch on top of the controller that is out-of-sight just looking at it. It removes the automatic feature.

That sounds great...I'll give it all a try....the good news is I don't have to wait to see if it works, if it doesn't, it will retract within a couple of minutes.....Thanks again.
