Awning rolls up when starting generator

The awning on my 2010 Itasca Suncruiser has started to close automatically when I start my generator. It started this last outing. It has not done this in the past. I know it will do it when I start the engine. But the engine was off. What may be doing this?

Is the gen start switch near or close to the awning switch? If so open the panel and check the wires. Maybe something jostled loose and a ground is back feeding somehow. Take some pics, check grounds etc. Let us know.

I don't understand it but mine has done it since I have owned it. Must be that the computer treats the genny the same as the engine.

I use the auto gen start panel to start it. The awning switch is down by the entry step.

I think it's the wind sensor. The genset rumbles a lot when it starts and shakes the awning.

That's another issue. Where is the wind sensor on a weather pro unit? I've been told it's on the end of one of the arms. I can't find it. It must have one. It has the controller.

it may have a low voltage sensor
closes up upon low voltage so it doesn't get stuck "out"
try cleaning up all your battery wire connections
if they are dirty, there will be a voltage drop when you start the genny
also try the parallel switch if you have one when starting

A lot of those "wind sensors" aren't really "wind" sensors but are "vibration" sensors so they can be easily hidden inside the roller tube or in the extending arm itself.
