Awning tube slump

Any body ever try to straighten out a awning tube that has bowed from it own weight without removing it from the rv? I have a 20' awning and it has bowed and the electric motor has a hard time winding it in. I actually have to help it get started by pulling down on the arm.

There is an aftermarket cradle that can be added to prevent it from bowing in the middle. Might have to raise center before installing it and let hot sun do the rest...
