Thumbs up Backup camera

The wired backup camera system in the 03 Tradewinds has failed.
The full nine yards of replacement is too costly, and the existing wire transmission not compatible with current cameras and monitors.
1 camera
2 transmission
3 driver position monitor

Futilely I researched the brilliant idea of re-purposing one of the retired Ipads - big, high resolution screen, touch screen.

What other cockpit system do I have, with a large, color screen....?
stand-alone Garmin RV Navigator.
... cost of color monitor avoided
Garmin offers a wireless backup camera that will communicate with several of its RV GPS displays.
Garmin claims the wireless connection is reliable up to 13m.
I purchased one, skeptical the sending unit could penetrate the wall behind the closet, sliding mirror doors, and all the way to the driver's position... reliably.
Beauty!
The installation functions correctly, and reliably.
Two months so far.
I can supplement this post with product #, price $C, source
I can also supplement this post with camera and its sending unit tips and pix
Cheers
