There should be a drain plug on bottom of tank, pull plug and drain.

If the drain plug is rusted in, buy a cheap siphon pump. Don't forget to drain the fuel lines and change filter.

I recommend using a pump. I had to do that with a boat. Buy a small 12 volt fuel pump and 12 feet of fuel line. Ground the receptacle for the fuel to a good clean ground on your frame. That will eliminate static electricity for safety.

Not sure on your coach, but the Workhorse chassis has two fill ports on the fuel tank. One is used for fuel fill, the other is capped. If your Ford chassis has a capped second fill port as well, this might provide the best access to pump out the tank.

I had to drain my fuel tank to remove it. The fuel pump was working, so I disconnected the fuel line at the filter then used a jumper wire on the fuel pump relay to turn the pump on and off.

I'd install a new gas filter, then check it / replace it again after you run a full tank of gas through it.

DILUTION IS THE SOLUTION. - I used the old gas in the motorhome and my cars, When I went to the gas station to fill my tank, I'd bring a gas can with the old gas in it to the gas station, I'd mix a few gallons in before I filled the tank.

If the unit has a metal tank there is a very good chance you might just want to replace it now instead of down the road

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I can't add to what others have suggested but noticed you are new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

P.S.- Just remembered that Harbor Freight has a very inexpensive hand pump!
