Bad ground/RV comfort thermostat

We have a 2015 Fleetwood Providence 42p. We've been having an issue with our 3 zone rvcomfort.zc thermostat. At times it would freeze up when going down the road. It would take a reset (either unplugging or flipping the breaker) to make it work again.

The LCD display would flicker at random times when running. We installed a few interference chokes and they didn't seem to help. Eventually we just decided to purchase a new thermostat (same model) off eBay.

The LCD still flickers and we believe the LCD should light up when depressing the buttons. My husband seems to think we may have a bad ground but we have no idea where to start to look.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Nelson

There is a 12V ground wire between the 'stat and air conditioner, either end can have enough corrosion to prevent a proper connection; matter of fact that goes for all the 'stat wires, some may only carry a few millivolts.

Go to bryantrv.com and download the service/troubleshooting manual for your make/model air conditioner. It may not address your specific problem, but odds are favorable.
