When I bought my tires, the service provider cut the bags open, but folded the top of the bags 2 or 3 times over on itself and then put the entire bag in.

He said the bags are designed to bust open on their own and break up into small pieces or into dust. he just likes to cut the top open and fold it over. it keeps the beads contained while he is mounting them but ensures the beads can get out.

You all realize that no tire manufacturer recommends anything that goes into the tire, they don't have opinions because there are too many bad ones being foisted on the public as the cure to all ills.

These are tantamount to stapling a cabinet together rather than screw and glue - Oh, wait, thats what the entire industry does! It will look good for a while, then it's too late.

If you want to do it correctly, then get it done professionally including ride height, chassis alignment and radial and axial runout.

Otherwise - use the cheap route - heck, it's just your comfort, safety and vacation at risk.

Sure, call me paranoid. I'm a full-timer and this is my home.
