Banks is great through the point of sale. If you have any questions or need assistance after the fact, GOOD LUCK getting a callback or return emails. The only email I got after posting the same question(s) 5 or 6 times, was a "free T-Shirt" offer. I clearly stated I was willing to pay to have someone check out the Banks system on my Cummins 5.9 ISB, still waiting and this began 2 years ago.

I have to say that I was impressed with the service I got. I ordered from a vendor and installed it all myself. So even though they only made money when they sold to the vendor at wholesale, they were very helpful when I called for help with the programmer. They even emailed a new program I can use in my programmer free of charge.
I must say I was happy with their service.
Happy Glamping.

And do the 5 Star before you do anything with the Banks system.

I bought a 5 Star product and had one of their installers install it. The amount of BLACK exhaust was unbelievable! After 2,000 miles and 2 weeks or so, I spoke to one of the tech people at 5 Star in Indiana. Headed to their office, they flashed a new 5 Star and installed it. No improvement, still TONS of black soot covering the white toad and the rear of the KSDP. I took it off, called 5 Star, the gave me a return code and I mailed it back for a full refund including the installation fee. Fast forward a month or so, still had a lot of BLACK soot, not as bad as it was, but still bad. Pulled into a Cummins Crosspoint facility in Billings, MT. The diesel fuel lift pump was toast. About 1 week and $7,000 later, I was back on the road and the BLACK soot problem was gone. I'm thinking the fuel lift pump was failing when I tried the 5 Star which might account for the BLACK soot issue. Or, it could have been the 5 Star caused the problem in the first place, I'll never know, but I'm gun-shy to try another 5 Star product on this 5.9 24 valve Cummins.

I've had Banks kits on two rigs, a 1998 Santara Ford 460 and then on a 2002 DSDP w/ISC 350. Well worth the cost in both cases. I did the install myself on the DSDP right down to the new turbo housing.

if I ordered the banks system for my 99 v10 would it be hard to install in my driveway?
Has anyone done this?

Do you have enough blocking to raise the front end 2 feet? You also will want to remove the front wheels for access. Be prepared to remove broken manifold bolts if any break off in the head. I use the weld on a nut method, works most times.
If you are comfortable with all this, go for it.
I have done a couple at my place. The Banks systems are pretty much a bolt-on setup. I only had to do some fabrication on the tail pipe with welding up some different hangers. No big deal if you have the tools and know how to use them.
Happy Glamping.
