I don't know if your coach has the 6-spd or 5-spd transmission, but regardless, as comparatively light as it is, I really don't think you will need the Banks system. You ought to be able to go wherever you want with what you have.

I did have a Banks system on my 2004 FR Georgetown (22K GVWR), but it was the 3sp+OD transmission and 2-vlv motor that drove the need. With your engine/tranny combination, I'd spend your money elsewhere.

Can you ever have too much power ? The banks system will make a difference . It won't help much for increased mileage , but you can look at is getting the extra hp for free (no extra fuel being burnt). I have it on my 454 , but you can't really compare it to the V10.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Don't know anything about the Banks system, but just wanted to say hello!

Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

In my opinion it has been the best investment I have made on any of the coaches I have owned. I installed the system myself on a 454 Chev carburated engine in a 32' Thor Columbus on a P30 chassis and on a Ford E450 with v-10 on a Gulf Stream Conquest Classic. The system was easy to install with the front wheels removed on both units. About 4 hours on each. The performance was worth the cost to me. No more chugging up hills. Passing performance was great no more tooling along behind a semi doing 65. The performance was best on the V10 With Banks Power Pac and a Transmission shift chip,. Fuel economy improvement of the 454 was a bout 1.5 mpg. On the V-10 at 70 MPH about 1 mpg but at 55 to 60 MPH on a calm day on flat ground I got about 2.75 to 3 mpg increase. Yea I know there are those out there that would said it ant-so but I will stand behind what I say. The inproved economy for me was a plus I was after the performance improvement.

I owned an older 30 footer with a 454 and full banks kit. Year before last we were traveling with friends who own a V-10 stock unit and their moho was also a 30 footer. Climbing Grape Vine in Ca he couldn't keep up and I was towing an SUV and he was traveling solo. The banks kit could and should do wonders on a V-10.

Think 3800.00 is lot just to keep up with next guy, maybe a new set of plugs and wires or a ECM and TCM Tune would do just as much. I have an 8.1 Vortec did a tune up better pickup and better gas mileage less the 400.00

I just put the Banks kit on my 96 Bounder with a 97 F53 chassis/460 w 11k miles and what a difference! They told me 118ft/lb of tq and 70hp and I believe it completely! The Bounder is a 34j and before going over a hill or bridge it would chug, and now it is on the positive side of the RPM band.. even pulling out of the exhaust shop driving it for the first time I could noticed a difference in just how much it moved barely hitting the throttle.

Maybe you haven’t taken a good look at the exhaust manifolds on the new rigs.. no better than the old ones. I just spent 3k on custom headers for my blown AMG S class Mercedes and made 40 extra horsepower at the WHEELS.. which is probably 60-70hp...

I would go for it! If you are thinking it will get better mileage and power, sorry, you will have to choose one or the other. I had a P30, 34 foot MH for 11 years and always thought about putting the Banks kit on it. As soon as we bought the 2008 Adventurer, I ordered the complete Banks kit. Happy I did, power is way up, but of coarse I like to use it, so mileage stayed the same.
Happy Glamping.
