Battery cables

My1985 beaver rv had work done, they unhooked the three cables and seperated them all, the possitive obvious but the other two both go on negative or one of them goes with the possitive? Clueless! Lol! Any one know for absolute possitive?

Mary, need a picture of your battery bank to figure out if its a 6 or 12v system, if the batteries are 6v, you'll have one cable on batt1 going to + one cable going from - (b2) to + (b1) and another going from (b2) - to the chassis.

Without more info on how many batteries you have, here is a generic drawing of a house battery bank of four 6V batteries connected to provide 12V house power.
