If you have a 3 stage charger that will float charge the batteries I would allow it to do that. If the charger won't take care of the chassis batteries I would look at the battery tender as others have suggested.

I recently added a DVSR Cluster from Marinco. The relay connects when charging from either the engine or from the house side and disconnects when the voltage drops so not to drain one or the other. It also has a battery switch for each battery bank and an emergency parallel switch which was something my coach did not have.

I have a question about the relay switch to my battery. My service guy told me he would show me how to by pass the relay switch sence mine is bad and that the new coachs don't even have a relay. My Q. is what does the relay switch do? and would I need to hook up a battery tenderto my M/H.
