Battery maintainer

Just purchased 2001 holiday rambler endeavor 40 foot diesel. Where is the battery maintainer located? I’m having trouble keeping my chassis batteries charged.

Your coach may not have a charge system to keep the chassis battery charge while plugged in. We installed this on my daughters 05 Monaco, works well.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

You will have to buy a separate battery maintainer unless you keep the rig plugged into shore power.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I purchased a BatteryMINDer Model 128CEC1 12V 2/4/8 Amp Charger / Maintainer / Desulfator. Very happy with it.

The Amp-L-Start is an excellent product and works as described. Be aware that some coaches came with a "Battery trickle charger" that would charge the chassis batteries when plugged in. However those same trickle chargers will discharge the batteries when not plugged into shore power unless their fuse is removed. That is what my coach came with. After having dead chassis batteries, I replaced it with the Amp-L-Start. Four years later and all is well.
