If a battery shows a CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) then it's not a true deep cycle battery according to the stories I've seen. The internals are different between a battery made for short term high load (starting) use vs long term, low load (RV house) use.

These are listed as 12 volt Golf cart Batteries which I thought would make them Deep Cycle.

Hi campclan,
The batteries should be fine. On the web site the CCA has no value. One can assume the manufacturer used a standard template for their battery specs. I have Trojan batteries in my golf cart. They are 6 years old and perform as if it was their first day of use. If they will fit, go for it. Trojan makes an excellent battery. They can take a lot of abuse.

They are heavier than T145's(more lead) and have 40-60 ampHours more power. Looks like it might be the way to go.

Per Wiki
Quote:
The structural difference between deep cycle batteries and cranking batteries resides in the lead battery plates. Deep cycle battery plates have thicker active plates, with higher-density active paste material, and thicker separators. Alloys used for the plates in a deep cycle battery may contain more antimony than starting batteries.[3] The thicker battery plates resist corrosion through extended charge and discharge cycles.

Mr D,
If having a CCA rating disqualifies a battery from being called "Deep Cycle" then every Trojan battery is not a deep cycle battery.
