Battle Born and chassis batteries

I am converting my house batteries from AGM to Battle Born and I have a question for those who have done this. I have a 2006 Newmar Kountry Star and when hooked to shore power the house and chassis batteries are connected by a jumper from the solenoids in the shore power compartment.

My issue is that the Battle Born uses a higher voltage and it is my experience that pushing 13.6 volts continuous to the chassis batteries will boil them and cause them to fail. I assume the lower voltage batteries will also drain the Battle Born when not connected to shore power. I then decided to disconnect the jumper but the small solar panel on the roof does not maintain the voltage and allows the chassis batteries to drop to 12.3 volts and I assume it will finally drain the batteries. I have a call into Newmar about the solar panel and how to check if it is actually working, the red light is on and I have upgraded to a larger panel also.

Has anyone else addressed this issue and how did you resolve it? I do not want to add a battery tender due to when boondocking and on solar only I have to supply power to the tender.

Any help will be appreciated.
