Beaver Water tank fill

Just purchased a 03 Beaver Contessa and have a question about filling er the fresh water tank. How do I do it? The owners manuel says "After the hose is attached to the fill valve, open the selector valve and turn on the water source's faucet." What fill valve are they talking about and what selector valve do they mean? They really have me confused

What happens is you connect water hose. You turn the valve one way it feeds water to RV, you turn it the other way it will fill your fresh water tank.

Yours is probably like ours. There is a manifold in the service bay that has a group of valves for turning off water supply to various parts of the coach. Each of these valves are marked as to where they go. There is one that is marked "Tank Fill". There is also a special wrench that is attached at the top of the manifold that can be removed to turn these valves. You will have to connect your hose to the City Water connector and turn on the water supply. Then remove the special wrench by pulling out on it and use it to turn the "Tank Fill" valve to the open position. You will hear the water begin to enter the tank. Be sure to turn off your water pump before doing this or you will have a circuit created that will cause the pump to run without doing anything.

Beaver water tank fill

I have a 2001 Contessa and on the service panel hook up water line to regular hookup, turn the valve that says tank fill to on, then turn water access on...when it gets full the drain overflow will show water coming out...thats in middle of coach underneath fwd center......
