Bend in Carefree Slide Topper Roller Tube

Hi all,
I've attached a few pictures of the roller tube on my slide topper. It has got a lot of play to it. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this much play on their slide topper? The whole assembly and fabric was replaced at the dealership some time ago and I have some concerns that it wasn't replaced correctly. I think my fabric is stretched out due to camping in a snow storm once and not getting the snow off quickly enough. Thoughts?

the fabric looks damaged or rotten kinda hard to tell.

Never seen a bend makes me wonder if it had a lot of weight on it for a long time? like water sitting in it like a bowl.
