Best Insurance companies
Looking for best Insurance companies for a Class A Motorhome (2011).
We currently have Progressive.
We are located in Massachusetts, so some don't cover here.
Thanks!

We shopped State Farm (the most expensive), Geico, Progressive (the second most expensive), Travelers, and Allstate. I have insurance coverages with each one of these compnaies... and each one does better for some things than others... When it was all said and done, Allstate gave us the best deal (by a pretty big margin) with the lowest deductibles on our 2003 Discovery. That being said, everybody has a different situation, different coverages, different vehicles, in different states... Good luck.... Take your time... And make the calls.

Allstate doesn't cover RV insurance in MA. Funny how the companies have different coverage in different States.

Just to give you an idea, prior to switching companies, we had our DP covered by Progressive. Allstate was about $150 year cheaper... Too bad... Good luck!

Be sure to check National Interstate. Many iRV2 members have found their rates most competitive, especially in the DP category, and they have several perks that other carriers don't have on coverage.
Have had them since 2005 and been very pleased. I re-shop nearly every year but price, coverages and good treatment have steered us back to them consistently.

X2
We have used them since 2007. We compare rates/coverage frequently and NI is always competitive. Had one claim handled promptly and professionally.

Also check RV Insurance | Motorhome Insurance | Blue Sky RV Insurance
We had National Interstate and switched to them. So far no claims though, so can't comment on how they handle claims.

We went through Gilbert Agency and got Victoria Ins. Through them we got best price, Agreed Value and vanishing deductibles.

We recently had a Breslin on our 40 ft.Monaco Windsor. There was nothing of value to steal, so the perpetrator decided to trash what he could. Long story short......Well over $10,000 of damage. Geico stepped up to the plate and paid for everything less out deductible. They even told Camping World that if they found anything else that they were authorized to fix or replace it and Geico would cover it......and they did!
Best experience ever with an insurance company.
