Many gas stations in our area can fill our tank. Some truck stops also.

Are the prices at these places much less than the RV places? What are current prices?

Rv place was 3.90 or so... more expensive, but on a 30 gallon tank not a lot of dough...

Best place to get propane in large class A?
Check out the access before driving the rig to tractor supply. Both of their stores near me have tanks that are not accessible for the motorhome. I usually just stop at a flying j or at a RV park for propane. Also have stopped at a Southern States store for a refill. It was funny the guy had never filled an RV before. When he finished I asked how many gallons. He didn’t know and told me to tell the cashier it was a Bobcat. She looked up standard pricing on a sheet for a Bobcat skid steer and only charged me $20. Cheapest tank of propane I’ve ever had.

Prices always vary, I typically use a local propane supplier, I last filled up in late February, and paid $3.25 per gallon, last fall it was under $2.00

I paid $3.29 per gallon at TSC in Hickory Flat, GA yesterday. Just over 20 gals to fill it.

Local Propane gas companies will fill my tank at regular prices.Give them a call for best time to arrive, and ask where they need the access to be. In Raleigh, prices are about $3.00 now. At Camping world, with their discount, it's closer to $6.00/gal...

Yikes! And that's with a 'discount'?
I use a local RV dealer with the only public dump station around, and a local gas grill dealer who does a ton of propane fill business, but most of the truck stops we use on the road (we use Loves mostly) sell propane.

Other options?
What are you guys paying?

I don't know what they are charging right now but I go to my local U-Haul and fill up. Last fall I was below 1/4 tank and it was around $35 to fill up my Class As tank.

Farm stores, Flying J truck stops, lots of campgrounds, some RV suppliers. We have never had a problem finding someone to fill our tank whether it is the current one permanently installed or the 30 pound removable ones we had on our last trailer. If you are permanently set up, most long term campgrounds have a supplier who will come around, though it is expensive that way. I guess it is easier than moving if you have lots of goodies out though.
