Good choice, Young Man (I'm almost 72, so's I get to call you that).

Here's ours . . .

We've had "Carmen Miranda" for seven years now and I'm finally happy to say I know her intimately by now.

There are a few areas I haven't explored yet. BTW, she's a 6370. We paid close to $40,000 for her and bought her, sight unseen, in Phoenix; then flew down there one way and drove her home. Since then, prices have really taken a tumble.

I will be happy to correspond with you off-forum about any questions you may have and/or things to watch out for. Perhaps I could save you some of the growing pains we went through. If you want, drop me an email at capn27 at yahoo dot com dot sg

I know you'll be very comfortable rolling her down the open road. My DW does all the forward driving and I back her up. Fair trade!

I picked up a '98 Damon Ultrasport for $14k and just dig it! Super clean, newer tires, new windshields, new exterior paint, jacks, and everything works.

And now that I have cleaned her myself several times from stem to stern she is even more awesome!

Only 27k miles.

I looked for almost two years on Craigslist. When you finally find a good one you have to be ready to jump on it.

Anything under $20k that is in good condition and well cared for will sell very fast.

Just be patient and checck several times a day.

For the best price I would avoid a dealer. The folks who take care of these rigs have no trouble selling them themselves more often than not.

Good luck!

Well Doc, being 68 myself, you do have that right! It's nice to talk to someone older than me. Makes me feel young. LOL!
I appreciate your offer to help me via email and I will definitely take you up on that.
One question, what type, if any, GPS do you use? I'd like to get it ahead of time but it's confusing.
Won't be taking delivery until the end of the month. Already have a shakedown weekend planned with my cousin (Class C RVer's).
I'll catch ya down the road!
