Not for nothing that little "solar" panel on the roof does just about nothing. It's more of a marketing ploy than anything IMHO. So if that is your 2 options go covered. Use the rv at least once a month to fully charge the batteries.
Agree with previous post about rvs needing to be used.
BTW I am in FL too. Mine is uncovered and still looks new after a year in the FL sun. Did a wax on the front portion and washed the roof as the rain was leaving some of the dreaded white marks.
